In an interview with Ladies’ Home Journal, singer and American Idol judge Paula Abdul has revealed that she once had such an addiction to painkillers, it nearly killed her.

It seems that during dance routines back in her days as a full-time singer, Paula took a combination of painkillers, including “regular shots of lidocaine” as well as what she describes as “Chinese medicine” to get her through her dance routines.

“I couldn’t cancel my tour. I didn’t want anyone to count me out” she told the magazine, adding, “I tried to keep everything hush-hush.

“I’m an old school professional. Never let them see you sweat.”

Aussie babe Hugh Jackman has revealed that his nickname for his man package is “old James Roger”…

The X-Men star explained that he strips off in a tank for his new film, though cinemagoers won’t get to see his “private parts”… dammit.

Amy Winehouse was apparently taken to hospital yet again on Saturday after “fainting” on the island of St Lucia, according to her spokesman.

The 25-year-old was kept in hospital overnight for observation after tests showed she was suffering from dehydration.

Her publicist, Chris Goodman told AFP, “She fainted at home (in St Lucia) and they took her in for observation, mainly to do with her medication to check everything was OK… Read more & comment »

Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole was reportedly “left shaken after being bitten on the lip by a deranged girl fan” according to The Sun.

Cheryl was apparently posing for photographers outside her hotel when a teenaged ‘fan’ “lunged” at her.

Witnesses at the scene reported that Cheryl, 25, appeared to be “petrified” as a security guard dived in to get the girl away from Cheryl before rapidly rushing the singer into her hotel.

The hysterical fan – who was wearing a brace on her teeth – ran away from the scene shouting: “I kissed Cheryl, I kissed Cheryl” apparently not realising that she’d bitten her idol.

The paper also reports that just moments after the attack, fellow band member Nadine Coyle stepped off the tour bus to chat with fans but a security guard rapidly ushered her into the hotel as well… Read more & comment »

Rock singer Pink has denied reports that she’s bisexual insisting that the story – and her alleged quotes about it – were “fabricated”.

Pink, who’s real name is Alecia Moore, is alleged to have ‘confessed’ that she’s attracted to women in the News of the World newspaper on Sunday.

Members of Kerry's newly discovered 'family'

Kerry Katona apparently “broke down” when she met members of the family she only recently found out she had. She met them for the first time last week but they told her, “Take a DNA test to prove you’re our sister.”

The reality star of course took along her ever present MTV crew to film the meeting that she’d organised after last week’s news that she had a half-sister and four brothers she knew nothing about.

However, her relatives refused to be filmed as well as insisting on the DNA test, which I’m sure won’t have pleased the camera-addicted Kerry.

A friend of Kerry’s told the News of the World, “It was hardly the greeting she wanted. She couldn’t help but cry-the nerves and emotion got to her. But she agreed to have the test.”
