Well, we’d only just heard that Eoghan and Diana were definitely an item, but now it seems they’ve called off their X Factor romance and according to the Telegraph, Eoghan is “stunned and crushed”.

The paper states that Diana has chosen to “spend more time with her ex-boyfriend instead.” And the Daily Star reports that, “Eoghan is heartbroken. All his dreams have come crashing down in the space of a few hours.

“He has clearly fallen hook, line and sinker for Diana but she seems a bit more wary at the moment.
“They are both very young and perhaps a cooling-off period is not a bad thing.

“It seems clear that Diana still has a lot of unfinished issues with her ex Chris Jones, and Eoghan will be pushed into the background for now. It’s the news he does not want to hear.”

Since pictures of Diana and Eoghan kissing emerged in the papers, Diana’s insisted that she wasn’t unfaithful to her ex, Chris Jones.

“I’m not a liar. I’ll tell Chris everything to do with me and Eoghan and I would never cheat on anyone in my life,” she’s quoted in the newspaper as saying.

On the subject of Eoghan, she said, “He’s sensitive and very caring and considerate. He can be very silly too, though.

“I can’t wait to see him more … but I dunno what’s going to happen.
“There’s a difference between loving each other and being in love. I love him to bits …”

It makes me wonder if their ‘love affair’ wasn’t just a bid to stay in the contest… but maybe I’m just a cynic. What do you reckon?
