Sky News is reporting today that Jack Tweed “will spend at least six weeks behind bars after being handed a 12-week custodial sentence, half of which he may serve while out on licence.”
The report added that the court heard that under normal circumstances, Tweed would’ve been sent sentenced to 18 weeks, but the term was reduced “due to the events of the past weeks”.
“We have borne in mind the recent change in your personal circumstances and have reflected this in the length of the sentence,” said Magistrates chairwoman Margaret Webb.
Jack apparently didn’t show any emotion as magistrates sent him immediately to prison, but his mother Mary sobbed as she left the court… Read more & comment »

‘He is only 21 and has his whole life ahead of him so I can’t expect him to be single forever, and neither can anyone else.’

The Sun is reporting that Jack Tweed spent the night at his new wife’s bedside after getting special permission from probation chiefs.
Jack is of course electronically tagged and has recently been convicted of assaulting a taxi driver. He went straight from that court appearance to see Jade at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital where she’s recovering from an operation to relieve her pain.
Jade apparently collapsed “in tears” when she learned that her new husband could be taken back to prison following this latest conviction.
Jade’s spokesman, Max Clifford, confirmed to The Sun that authorities had “shown mercy” and let Jack stay with Jade overnight, even though he’s normally on a strict 7pm to 7am curfew.
The paper also stated that Jade’s mum, Jackiey Budden, also visited Jade and was visibly upset when she left.
