Jon McClure of the band Reverend and the Makers has said Leona Lewis needs “to get a grip” according to The Sun.

His outburst comes after reports last week in Bizarre that Leona now insists on “a strict vow of silence the day before each show.” According to Jon though, Oasis “are the only people on Earth who qualify” to make similarly bizarre demands.

Jon said, “Leona needs to get a grip. Not speaking is such rubbish.

“She became famous from one of money-grabbing Simon Cowell’s talent shows.

The Sun is reporting today that two of Leona Lewis’s cousins have been arrested for allegedly “storming a drug den and beating up three dealers to brutally rob them”.

One of Leona’s cousins, Adrian Henry, was apparently found by police hiding outside the house and later appeared before a special bank holiday hearing in court during which the 26-year-old was remanded in custody.

His younger brother Erren, 20, was said to have also been arrested along with two unnamed others aged 28 and 27 all of whom were also remanded in jail accused of robbery… Read more & comment »

The Daily Mirror is reporting today that Leona Lewis’s friends and family have bought her a horse for her birthday.

Leona apparently loves horses so she was thrilled when her friends “sponsored a horse” in her name for her 24th birthday.

The paper reports that her friends and relatives flew to Los Angeles to surprise her on the day and took her to a restaurant where they told her about the gift of a horse.

In an interview with Radar Online, Paris Hilton has hit back at what she claims are false rumours that she flirted with Chris Brown on the night of his alleged attack on girlfriend Rihanna.

It seems that Mariah Carey wants Leona Lewis to play her in a musical about her life.

According to the Daily Mirror, Mariah is planning to depict her rise to fame in a Broadway production.

And apparently she thinks Leona, 23, who won The X Factor in 2006, should play the title role.

“Mariah is not sure if she’ll star in it herself,” a source told the paper.

“If she doesn’t, names being tossed around include High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens and Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria.

X Factor star Leona Lewis has apparently teamed up with a German cosmetics brand label to release a perfume that will bear her name.

Leona said: “I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to work on such an exciting project.

Simon Cowell is apparently worried about allowing Leona Lewis to start a world tour because he’s not sure if she’s ready to perform in front of thousands of fans.

The American Idol and X Factor judge has overseen Leona’s career since she won The X-Factor in 2006.

Cowell has had top American producers working with Leona on her debut album Spirit, including legendary music exec Clive Davis.
