Irish actor Liam Neeson has completed the film he was working on in Toronto when his wife, Natasha Richardson, suffered a fatal head injury at a Canadian ski resort.

Neeson’s publicist said the actor “quietly slipped into the city for a couple of days last week” in order to complete work on the thriller Chloe, alongside Julianne Moore.

Liam buried his wife at a private ceremony in New York on March 22nd.

Lisa Ghione, a publicist for the film, said Liam “completed his scenes last Friday” and added that the shoot ended completely on Saturday.

A friend of Natasha Richardson has told People magazine that her husband Liam and mother Vanessa Redgrave allowed Natasha’s organs to be donated to others after her death.

The friend told the magazine: “She spent so much time fighting the stigma of AIDS, someone like that would naturally donate her organs.

“At least by donating her organs, something good could come out of the tragedy.”

As soon as Natasha was taken off life support at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, her family reportedly “requested her organs be donated to other patients”… Read more & comment »

Canadian newspaper The Globe is reporting that an ambulance which was dispatched to treat actress Natasha Richardson immediately after her skiing accident was “turned away”.

Yves Coderre, director of operations at the emergency services company Ambulances Radisson, told the newspaper that “paramedics responding to the incident were first told that they were not needed”.

Reuters is reporting today that Natasha Richardson’s family are keeping a vigil at her bedside in a New York City hospital following her skiing accident at a Canadian resort.

Representatives for Natasha and her husband, actor Liam Neeson, have apparently repeatedly declined to comment on the severity of Natasha’s injuries, but the New York Times reported today that the actress was in “a serious condition with head injuries.” Read more & comment »
